Burro Wash

Completely dry except for one easily stemmable pool. Anchors in good condition.

Burro is currently very dry. All water is avoidable for those with some stemming skills. There were 3-4 very small puddles/pools where this was required. No bugs.

This was our first trip through Burro Wash. Beautiful canyon, took a first-timer and loved it. The canyon is very dry right now with all water missing or easily avoided until the last short stretch of shallow narrows.

It was in great condition. There was intermittent water, but wetsuits weren't necessary. We even had skinny girls with us on a cool day and we were all fine. Anchors were in good condition, though the single bolt over the first required rappel was a little sketchy. We just made sure to back it up for the first person.
